Every morning I enjoy a tablespoon of my favorite greens powder mixed with mostly water and a little orange juice or cranberry juice or even hemp or almond milk-whichever I have on hand. First, I place the liquid in my shaker cup (available at health food stores or even Wal-mart). Next, I add about a tablespoon of greens powder and then shake it up, pour into a glass and enjoy!! Sometimes I add to this mix Activz carrot powder and my capsuled vitamins-I break open the vitamin capsule and drop my biotin, magnesium and folic acid into the shaker cup with the greens. This is such a simple, daily habit first thing in the morning with the many healthy benefits I listed above. I rarely drink caffeine so this is such a healthy substitute and you can have a cup first thing in the morning and again in the afternoon as a pick-me-up.
Barley grass powder is a very popular choice with so many benefits-it even can prevent your hair from turning grey!! I prefer a greens powder with a few different greens and even some vegetables since most of us do not get our recommended daily veggies so I decided to include them in my daily A.M greens ritual. I like to try different brands and right now I am using Green Miracle by Ultimate Living. It is a healthy green food blend with barley, kamut, a veggie blend, spirulina, chlorella, a fruit blend, milk thistle, tumeric and
so many other healthy items. You can also find good fermented blends and other times I buy ones on sale at my favorite health food store. Genesis 1:29 reads "And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food." God still wants us to get our fruits and veggies each day! So try this morning routine and see a new pep in your step!!
