happy birthday kate 2023

I am fascinated by the number of times we are told in the Bible to imitate God, say what God says, speak the Word but we rarely make this a habitual practice! I am trying to do this more! God spoke the universe into existence. “And God said “Let there be light”- Genesis 1:3. “By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host”-Psalm 33:6. And the Word says that as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”—in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist. Romans 4:17. God spoke and the world was created!

Remember God told Moses to "Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water." Numbers 20:8b We are told throughout the Bible to sing praises to His Name Psalm 68:4 "Praise the Lord!" Psalm 150:1-6 speaking and declaring His Goodness. "The lips of a King speak" Proverbs 16:10 and we are Kings and Priests! Revelation 5:10 and "the power of life and death is in the tongue" Proverbs 18:11

We are made in His image and God is spirit John 4:24 so we are speaking spirits just like God!
Let’s look at these verses and begin to speak our way to peace, health, wholeness and victory!

First of all, let’s remember how we received salvation and what it means. The Bible says “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” Romans 10:9-10. The original Greek word here for ‘saved’ is 4982 sozo-meaning to rescue from great peril, to protect, keep alive, preserve life, deliver, heal, be made whole.

In 1995 and again after backsliding for some time in 2010, I believed in my heart and I cried out to God to help me and to save me! Then I told someone, actually my entire women's Bible study class that I made the decision to make Jesus my Lord and asked them to help keep me accountable to my new life. Maybe you went forward at a service or prayed a prayer of salvation- “God, please forgive me of my sins- I was wrong. Now help me to walk in a new life with you-I receive you as my Lord and Savior, thank you for saving me”. Then you tell someone-that is believing and then confessing or declaring Jesus as your Lord and Savior and now you want to live for him.

Here are some verses on Confession~
And they stood up in their place and read from the Book of the Law of the LORD their God for a quarter of the day; for another quarter of it they made confession and worshiped the LORD their God- Nehemiah 9:3

I prayed to the LORD my God and made confession, saying, “O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments- Daniel 9:4

By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others- 2 Corinthians 9:13

Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession- Hebrews 3:1

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession- Hebrews 4:14

“When you realize your guilt in any of these, you shall confess the sin that you have committed.”- Leviticus 5:5

“He shall confess his sin that he has committed. And he shall make full restitution for his wrong.”- Numbers 5:7

I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,’ and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.- Psalm 32:5

Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.- Proverbs 28:13

So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven.- Matthew 10:32

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you-1 Timothy 6:12-13

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.- James 5:16

There are two forms of the same Greek root used for "confession" or "profession," - homologeō/exomologo. The compound term is from homo, the same; legō, to speak; or ex, out of. The basic meaning is to say the same thing, to agree with. Our confession or profession is agreeing with God! So we speak His Word in agreement with His Word and His ways.

1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
This could be read as "if we say the same thing as God about our sins, he will forgive and purify us" That's the dynamic of confession.
So when I say “By His stripes I was healed” in 1 Peter 2:24 I am simply agreeing with God’s Word by confessing it! I am now confessing or professing God’s Word in agreement with Him! Jesus is the High Priest of our Confession in Hebrews 3:1. He's been sent to put into effect, to execute, to carry out the words that you say. We need to speak more of what God says-the word of faith (Romans 10:8-9) and words of life (Philippians 2:16) instead of how we feel or what circumstances appear to be. Speak faith-filled words instead of doubting, fear-filled words!

God says "Behold, I have put my words in your mouth" Jeremiah 1:9 and Jeremiah 15:16-Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart". "It is written, that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God" Luke 4:4. You will also declare a thing and it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways. -Job 22:28

The Centurion said in Matthew 8:8 "but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed...he (Jesus) marveled and said to those who followed him, “Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel have I found such faith" !

Mark 11:22-25 says "And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak-2 Corinthians 4:13

Lets start speaking and talking and declaring our faith-our substance of things hoped for. If you are hoping for a new job begin confessing you have it already. I like to say “thank you God for my new job helping seniors around Vero Beach with their health and fitness goals” Be specific. “Thank you God in advance for my new automatic beige interior convertible Porsche” -I recently traded my 2004 911- 6 speed in for a 2009 beige interior automatic red Boxter God provided!

Since recommitting my life to Jesus in 2010 I speak life every day. I declare Ephesians 1:3-“I praise you God for you have blessed me with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ Jesus!” and Philippians 4:19-“I praise you God as you provide all of my needs according to your great riches in glory in Christ Jesus!” and Psalms 103:1-5-“I bless you Lord oh my soul and all that is within me and bless your holy name for you forgive all of my sins, you heal all of my diseases, you redeem my life from the pit you crown me with your loving kindness and tender mercies you give me every good thing so my youth is renewed like the eagles!”

Could it be just as we received salvation we should also receive health, wholeness, preservation? In 1981 Dodie Osteen was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. Her doctor told her she just had a few weeks to live. She decided to take her “Word medicine” 3 times a day and began confessing healing verses over her body! She is now a happy, healthy 91 years old and testifies about her healing miracle in Healed of Cancer available on Amazon. Another gal, Amy Keesee Freudiger carried around a 13 pound cancer tumor in her stomach! She looked pregnant all of the time even before she was married and was teaching abstinence! She began confessing the healing Word of God over her body and the tumor disappeared! Her story is Healed Overnight and a video of her healing is here. These women began confessing The Truth of the situation-what God's promises in His Word say about them rather than speaking out the problem! Romans 8:11 says "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." The seed for healing is already inside your body if you have received Jesus and the love and forgiveness and Holy Spirit of the living God! God’s brings health to our bodies and healing to our bones when we believe and confess it will work if we work it!
