Proverbs 25:27 - "It is not good to eat much honey, nor is it glorious to seek one’s own glory."
With birthday month coming to an end, I am happy to report I only had a few white sugar treats-key lime pie in Florida is difficult to escape. And the flourless chocolate cake sounds healthy, right?! I have had a sugar addiction, when I completely enjoyed the rush or the high of eating an entire bag of peanut butter M&Ms. Or eating the tub of icing with all of that man-made sugar and partially hydrogenated oil. I am glad I now find healthy substitutes to these evils. Did you know 'white sugar is as addictive as cocaine' studies report?? Sugar contains zero nutrients, is very bad and costly for your teeth, causes liver disease and significantly accelerates the aging process. Coconut sugar, honey, agave syrup, brown rice flour are all healthy substitutes to the processed white sugar and white bleached flour and you can use these in your baking or find bakeries who use these products now!! Thank you Jesus!
I had a fabulous piece all natural carrot cake at Fresh Organic, a local restaurant here in Vero. It was made with only carrots, raisins, walnut and applesauce. It was heavenly! So search for healthy desserts on google or healthy restaurants and find one you can trust for those cravings and find all sorts of healthy dessert substitutes for your favorite on the internet. I will make my favorite walnut date balls next Monday!
What is your favorite sweet treat?? I bet there is a healthy substitute waiting for you. Think fit, stay fit!!
