Are you persevering? After our New Years fast and working hard exercising and eating more of what God made thru the spring, how are you doing??? It’s still hot and nice outside-don’t give up! We are building a Spiritually fit lifestyle remember? Not a just a fad diet or passing idea. Solid things take time! And if the tiny baby turtles can make their way from their mama’s nest all the way to the ocean so can you!

In 2010 when God helped me change my life God impressed upon me to focus on these, my ease / E’s of my Spiritually fit program-

Experience God
Eat naturally
Exercise daily
Encourage others
Enjoy life

These translated into getting
Spiritually fit
Nutritionally fit
Physically fit
Relationally fit and
Emotionally fit!

I had boundaries and a plan and it kept me on track! I had a new focus in life! I decided to learn about what God's Word said about being fit in these areas. I am praying you are on track as well. As you may know, as we age our bodies continually change. And it is always better to stay fit than to get fit. But the good news is it can be done through fasting, intermittent fasting (no food from 7pm till 7am), changing your diet little by little to more fruits and veggies and red meat substitutes like fish and turkey and chicken and drink more water-no sugary drinks or processed foods as these are wasted calories! I drink water with a splash of sparkling water now always. And at 53 I have learned I don’t have to eat as much (our stomach is the size of our fist)- I eat breakfast and lunch and then healthy snacks- no large dinner meal before bed. I also try to stop snacking by 7pm. My body doesn’t process food as easily as it used to aka my metabolism is slowing down! I am not as active as I once was.

Let’s eat to live, not live to eat. Work on your ministry or a hobby to help give yourself a greater sense of purpose! Or let your fit goals inspire others! Remember, God wants to use our gifts and our talents, our passions and even our past mistakes for his glory and for our success!

And move your body each day for at least 30 minutes!

We are speaking Spirit beings made in God’s image, with a soul- our mind, will and emotions- living in a fleshly body. We can instead focus on feeding our spirits and renewing our minds with God’s promises more than our bodies and be just fine! And God’s Word is calorie free! Jesus said “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work.” John 4:34.

Here are more intentionally healthy foods I love~
